Google Cloud: North Korean hackers impersonate remote workers to attack blockchain projects, targeting them from the United States to Europe
According to Bijie.com, on April 2, the latest report by Google Cloud pointed out that North Korean hackers pretending to be IT practitioners are increasing their cyber attacks on European blockchain projects. Projects built on the Solana network, including applications and recruitment, are under increasing attacks. North Korean hackers pretend to be legal remote workers, infiltrate companies, take over critical systems and steal sensitive data that could be sold. A North Korean hacker used 12 fake identities in the United States and Europe to find jobs by forging letters of recommendation, establishing rapport with job seekers, and using other identities they control to prove their credibility. More blockchain-related projects involve Anchor and Rust smart contract development. One employee even developed an AI web application using Electron, Next.js and blockchain applications.
