According to Pioneer Economy, Kim Hong-soo, a Gangwon-do, South Korea, has soared more than 1,000 times in seven years. The local councillor purchased 195,555 OES tokens and 240,000 Donocle tokens in 2018 at a unit price of 23 won (approximately US$0.016), with a total investment of 10 million won (approximately US$6,800). Although these digital assets, which are currently valued at 12.9 billion won (about 8.8 million US dollars), can be traded on the decentralized exchange Uniswap, the report pointed out that their liquidity is extremely low and there are difficulties in actual monetization. Member of the King still holds these tokens purchased seven years ago, but insufficient market depth may affect the cashing of its final income.
