At 7 p.m. ET on Monday, Sen. Cory Booker, a Democratic New Jersey, began speaking in the Senate and fired more than 20 hours of criticism of Trump's policies. Booker said Monday night that he would stay in the Senate as long as he “has the body still tolerated.” After a long speech, the 55-year-old senator was clearly exhausted, but continued. It was the longest-lasting endurance show in Senate history, with Democrats trying to show their frustrated supporters that they are doing everything they can to challenge Trump’s agenda. "This is an abnormal time for our country. The threat to the American people and American democracy is serious and urgent, and we must all take more action against them," Booker said in the beginning of his speech. He complained for hours about Trump's adviser Musk and the Office of Social Security cuts by the Department of Efficiency, the administration's Department of Efficiency, for the past few hours. He cites the impact of Trump’s early decrees and talks about concerns about wider social security network cuts.
