On April 10, Federal Reserve Director Michelle Bowman will be questioned at a Senate Banking Committee hearing on Thursday, when lawmakers will consider her nomination for her vice chairman of regulation, Bloomberg reported.
Senators from both parties may ask how Bowman plans to comply with an executive order that limits the power of independent institutions and hope to see how she will respond to a new plan that requires the largest U.S. lenders to hold more capital to strengthen their ability to resist losses and financial crises.
