Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said the Fed is ready to provide dollar liquidity if necessary through its swaps with other central banks. "We want to ensure the availability of the dollar," Powell said in a question at an event at the Chicago Economic Club. "The reason we do this is that it is very beneficial for American consumers. So we will continue to do that because the dollar is part of the global reserve currency."
