Find concentration in the hustle and bustle, sow hope in the cold wave. As a "newcomer" who has just entered the Web3 industry, I have the honor to participate in the "2025 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival" co-organized by Wanxiang Blockchain Lab and HashKey Group - this is also the first time I have entered such a large-scale industry event.
In early April, the wind was still shallow in the palace, but the craze was surging in the exhibition hall. When traditional cultural images and cutting-edge technology complement each other, I felt the temperature and pulse of Web3 so vividly for the first time. It was not only an exhibition, but also a journey from the edge to the core, which allowed me to touch the true texture and spiritual background of this world for the first time.
The four-day carnival has set up nearly 40 special forums, covering multiple dimensions such as technology, compliance, and culture. More than 400 experts, scholars and industry leaders have conducted in-depth discussions on vertical tracks such as finance, security, infrastructure, and entertainment.
The combination of the theme of “Four Seasons” and oriental aesthetics
This carnival takes the "four seasons" as the context, and changes in spring, summer, autumn and winter, and lays out a long spiritual scroll of the Web3 world. I saw that Web3 is not only a stack of code and protocols, but also a culture of nurturing and spiritual inheritance.
The spring is just about to be beautiful. The inscription at the main venue is "Three or two peach blossoms outside the bamboo, and the spring river is warm and the duck is prophet", just like the new buds that break through the ground in the Web3 world, carrying the intuition that the brave first perceives the spring. Where the wind blows, someone is already walking on the waves.
The hot summer sun is like a rock."Persist in the green mountains and never relax, the roots are originally in the broken rocks." The summer exhibition area uses this as an inscription, reflecting the most solid power of the industry. In the hustle and changeable market wave, builders still focus on their technical foundation and work silently.
The autumn is getting stronger and the ginkgo is golden."The world is full of joy, only ginkgo trees live up to autumn." Pay tribute to those figures who work silently in the cycle of seasons. They are as calm as autumn leaves, never breaking branches due to wind and frost, but instead become more dazzling when the cold comes. Stick to the cycle fluctuations and keep moving forward in calmness, and will eventually bloom in the cold winter.
The cold winter is approaching, and the plum blossoms are firm."The sword needs to be sharpened, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold." In the final winter, I would like to pay my deepest respect to all Web3 practitioners. This is a road destined to be full of thorns. The system is not clear and the users are still far away. But it is precisely because of every bit of hardship and persistence that the light of the future is nurtured. The real builder is tempering his own sharpness in the wind and snow.
Multiple issues, showing the breadth of Web3
The most intuitive feeling to enter the development area is the continuous extension of the Web3 boundaries. From crypto finance, on-chain infrastructure, public chain ecosystem, to technological frontiers such as AI, RWA, PayFi, and then to the intervention of traditional financial institutions, regulatory compliance, security and privacy, digital entertainment and industry implementation, Web3 is a head-on collision with the complex texture of the real world.
In terms of hot topics, PayFi remains the focus of the audience. Traditional financial institutions such as HSBC Bank and ZABank talked about Web3 payment practices at the roundtable, and Shanghai Data Exchange and Bose Fund also held exhibitions to participate. Traditional funds' interest in new financial paths is no longer just waiting and watching, but actually implementing it.
TON Ecosystem has an exhibition area, and more than ten projects have been jointly unveiled, covering on-chain transactions, e-commerce and mini-games. Compared with the highlights of Ton's direct sub-forum last year, this year's slightly low-key presentation may more truly reflect the contraction and adjustment of its ecosystem under market cycle changes.
As for RWA, it has undoubtedly become one of the most passionate keywords of this carnival. A wealth of speeches and display content was gathered on the exhibition site on the asset chain, tokenization paths and regulatory adaptation. In the theme forum "RWA links to virtual and real: realizing the anchoring of assets and digital galaxies", guests such as Plume CEO and co-founder Chris Yin, Pharos Network CEO Alex Zhang, and Liu Xiaoyu, director of the Data Asset Management Center of the National Engineering Laboratory of Big Data Circulation and Trading Technology, etc., discussed in depth the possible paths for the integration of RWA and digital assets. Their thinking not only provides direction guidance for the industry, but also injects the weight of ideas into building a credible and efficient digital asset ecosystem.
NewbieGain: An immersive Web3 crash course
The four-day carnival is like a high-intensity but inspiring Web3 crash course for me. Whether it is the in-depth speeches of the guests on the main stage or the one-on-one exchanges with the project parties in the exhibition area, every contact is like opening a new window. What impressed me was that at the crowded exhibition site, I met many college students like me - they came here spontaneously just to experience the pulse of the industry personally. This enthusiasm revealed from spontaneous participation is perhaps the most vital footnote to Web3.
The carnival made me realize that Web3 has never stopped, it evolved and grew in cycles after cycle. What really builds this future world is never those concepts that have been hyped or instantly popular tracks, but those builders who continue to take root in technology, seriously think about compliance paths, and deeply understand user needs. Every discussion and every demo of theirs makes the industry more real and heavier.
For anyone who wants to know Web3, participating in an industry event like this is not just to "get information", but also an immersive cognitive update. The strongest feeling is that the density of information and the tension of opinions are far beyond expectations. Web3 is not a distant technological revolution. It is in the torrent of the times we live in, waiting for more brave people to join and build together.
As the hustle and bustle of four days gradually subsided, the crowds in the exhibition hall dissipated, and the fierce discussions and thoughts were still echoing in his ears. In this carnival full of energy and creativity, the builders of Web3 use their enthusiasm and persistence to turn their ideals into seeds rooted in the earth. The spring's germination, summer's persistence, autumn's precipitation, winter's tempering, and every season's change are witnessing the writing of this change of the times.
This spring departure is not only a development of my horizons but also a reshaping of my beliefs. At every step in the future, I am willing to move forward with more like-minded partners, constantly find new directions in this world full of variables, and bravely face the wind when the wind is rising.
